100WS Women's Health and Well-being Report
Our 2024 grant was awarded to Women on the Rise (WOTR), a local nonprofit focused on lifting up and empowering women. This grant went to support WOTR's Career Development Cohort.
This program is a beacon for women on the brink of the benefits cliff, where a modest increase in income could mean losing essential public benefits. Such a paradox affects countless women, particularly single mothers and minority groups, leaving them in a precarious balancing act between career advancement and financial stability.
The Career Development Program provides free childcare and a meal (for participants and children!) so that these often-invisible barriers don't stand in the way of participants receiving critical financial literacy training, a full year of mentorship, and expert-led workshops while on their way to a more fulfilling career trajectory.
We are looking for passionate and thoughtful women ready to take an active role in solving community issues that affect women and children. We will make a greater impact together than any one of us can make individually.
