Central Florida Foundation Scholarship FAQs

How can I be notified of scholarships at Central Florida Foundation?

Yes! Sign up for our scholarship alerts here and we'll share our scholarship opportunities with you as they become available.

I don't qualify for any open scholarships. What can I do?

Upon signing up for CFF scholarship alerts, you will receive a list of resources. Feel free to use those or contact your school’s Financial Aid Office for options.

I fit the criteria for a Central Florida Foundation scholarship. How do I apply?

Create an account on the MyScholarship portal with an email you check often and will check through the duration of your scholarship if you receive one. Refer to the CFF Scholarship page or the scholarship’s Information and Criteria sheet for the access code. Upon logging in to MyScholarship, enter the access code to be taken to the scholarship application. Be sure read the entire application carefully and answer every question. Give yourself enough time to complete it. Put your best foot forward!

I received a CFF Scholarship. Now what?

Login to your MyScholarship account and fill out the Activation Form. You will be assigned a number of follow-up forms to complete in order to use your scholarship. You must completely fill out these forms in order for CFF to send a check to your school.

When should I fill out the MyScholarship Follow-Up Form to use my scholarship?

Fill out the Follow-Up Form in your MyScholarship Portal as soon as a tuition bill or fee statement with an active balance becomes available in your school's student account, usually after you've registered for classes but before the semester starts.

Make sure the statement you upload shows an active balance. CFF cannot pay a bill of $0.00 or one with no balance due. If your statement shows no balance, you likely pulled it after other financial aid was already applied, so check your student account early in the semester while a balance still remains.

You are responsible for submitting a Follow-Up Form for every semester you want to use your scholarship. If you need additional Follow-Up Forms added to your MyScholarship portal, email CFF's Community Investment Manager.

I am anticipating other forms of Financial Aid. Can Central Florida Foundation send me a check in the mail?

No. Central Florida Foundation can only send scholarship checks to your school directly. Please refer to your scholarship’s Information and Criteria Sheet for specific information regarding the uses of your scholarship.

How do I know if my scholarship was sent to my school?

Log in to your MyScholarship account, click on the name of the scholarship you received, and then click the Award Details tab. You will be able to see when a payment was made and what the remaining balance of your scholarship is.

My tuition is due soon and my school has not received the scholarship or I do not see that the scholarship was applied to my school’s student account.

You must allow two weeks for CFF to review your Follow-Up Form and send a check to your school. Sending in your Follow-Up Form as soon as your tuition bill or fee statement is made available is ideal.

Be sure to monitor the email on file, as this will be Central Florida Foundation’s primary method of contacting you if any changes or edits are needed to your form. Refer to your scholarship’s Information and Criteria sheet for renewal criteria.

If it has been more than two weeks and the scholarship still hasn't been applied to your student account, please email our Community Investment Manager for assistance.
