Think Global, Act Local
Thrive Healthcare supports Sustainable Development Goal #3.
Healthy residents make up a thriving community. With access to mental and physical healthcare and healthy food, everyone can better manage chronic illnesses, injuries and in turn focus on wellness and other priorities. The Healthcare Impact Fund supports action and initiatives that expand access to quality care, physical activity and healthy foods that increase life expectancy and help every Central Florida resident live a full and healthy life.

MENTAL HEALTHCARE
Central Florida Foundation hosts a Thrive Healthcare workgroup.
The workgroup is a collaboration of subject-matter experts from different areas of healthcare working together to identify ways to increase health equity, and mental health care, and ensure people get the care they need. We do this through a design thinking strategy, research on best practices, and models that are working in other communities. The group meets 6 times a year and works on improving systems and filling gaps.
This group is a unique opportunity to bring people from all types of health organizations into the same room to focus on how work together to create a community culture of wellbeing.
- Sandi Vidal, VP of Community Strategies and Initiatives, Central Florida Foundation
Central Florida Foundation has representation on workgroups and conversations around the city. Right now, we’re a part of: Orange County’s Mental and Behavioral Health Implementation Committee
