Think Global, Act Local
Thrive Livability supports Sustainable Development Goals #6, 7, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15 and 17.
Neighborhoods keep us connected and driven. Safe, clean and sustainable environments mean we are around to enjoy the good stuff. Arts and culture fuel our imagination and creativity. Safety builds our sense of security. Space to soak in nature and to be outdoors keeps us grounded. All of these create close-knit areas we can be proud to call home. The Livability Impact Fund supports action and initiatives that build strong, connected neighborhoods that improve the quality of life to make us thrive.

Grantmaking Our grantmaking team, alongside evaluators and other community partners, works to identify local organizations with innovative programming that promotes incremental change in the area of livability.
Additionally, the Foundation stewards the endowments of many of our community’s arts & culture, environmental and animal-related nonprofit organizations in our region. Endowments support the sustainability of an organization and its mission. To learn more about nonprofit endowments, click here.
Initiatives Rally, our region’s social enterprise accelerator, works with early-stage social entrepreneurs who are seeking a double-bottom line: a functional business model and sustainable social progress. Past Rally Fellows have had ventures within the Livability space, including WriggleBrew and Kolumi.
Collaboration is the key to creating sustainable change. Our partnership with the Central Florida Foundation helps us connect with our community on the importance of taking action on behalf of wildlife and our environment. Together, we can inspire empathy that moves us toward a world where all animals and people can thrive together.
- Richard Glover, CEO of Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens
Central Florida Foundation has representation on workgroups and conversations around the city. Right now, we’re a community partner for Orange County’s LEED Certification.
