UpliftED connects Central Florida students to the resources they need to get where they want to go. UpliftED is committed to raising the attainment rate of college degrees and high-quality credentials in the Central Florida region. Through a focus on providing resources for access, persistence, and attainment we are working to make sure every student we serve has the chance to succeed.
Working together to increase the number of college degrees and high-quality credentials to build a skilled workforce and strong economy.
Two-thirds of all jobs created during this decade will require post-secondary education–so we created a goal to help the Central Florida workforce meet this standard.
By the year 2025, we want 60% of our community to hold a high-value credential or post-secondary degree.
Right now, we’re at 40%. That’s why we aim to join together with partners from every sector – education, business, government, industry and nonprofit – to fund higher education across all industries.
I am both humbled and proud to serve as the Director of UpliftED, a much needed collaborative in the Central Florida Region. It connects people, businesses, nonprofits and educational institutions with not only one another, but also to resources that will help increase the number of people with high quality, industry-recognized credentials which may include a degrees. These connections, in turn, strengthen the region’s workforce by closing the skills gap. This work equals a strong economy which supports family financial stability. It is a win-win for everyone in the community.
